There has been talk about the signing up of professional fighters from the EFC (EFC Africa : Extreme Fighting Championship Africa) and claims have been made that the fighters signing new contracts with Now Famous Internet Promotions (Pty) Ltd are illigal and action is taken by the EFC agains Neville Gruskin relating to the signup of Brendon Katz.

Here is the email and documentation from Bergman Attorneys relating to this matter and the validity of contracts signed by fighters with the EFC:

I attach copies of pertinent correspondence exchanged between attorneys that represent EFC and myself and letters that I have addressed to Expo Works (Pty) Ltd.

I am satisfied that no contractual relationship exists between EFC and Brendon in that:

· The contract that was concluded between Expo Works (Pty) Ltd and Chris was either null and void ab initio by virtue of material and unseverable provisions thereof being contrary to public policy; or

· To the extent that it may have enjoyed any validity in law it was repudiated by Expo Works (Pty) Ltd by virtue of its purportedly divesting itself of its obligations towards Brendon is thereunder by means of its seeking to assign the same to EFC, without his consent, and of his acceptance of such repudiation.

On that basis, Now Famous Internet Promotions (Pty) Ltd regards itself as perfectly free to enter into any contract with Brendon Katz that it may be advised to conclude and/or to continue with any contractual relationship that it may have concluded with him in the past. This would apply equally to any similar contracts concluded between Expo Works (Pty) Ltd and purportedly ceded to EFC.
